final renders

3D scanner

While building the Alias model I remembered reading about a home made 3D scanner using a Web cam and a laser line. I decided to give it a try so I can Scan my clay model in and compare it to my Alias model. Should have this done by the end of this week...

So far I gave it a test run on this Iron Man Slurpee cup....... The results are pretty good for something found for free on the internet.......... All info for it can be found here http://www.david-laserscanner.com/

Digital Model

While building the car in clay we where assigned the task of building it in Alias as a digital model as well.... A few hours spent on this so far. Just working out secondary surfaces. I should have some updated pics up soon.....

After some sanding a few coats of a urethane surfacing primer.. Some wet sanding tomorrow and its ready for some color...

Hi build primer

Layed down a High Build Primer.... It went on a bit thick but nothing a little sanding can't fix..

Its been a while since I updated progress on my Clay model. But its nearing completion. Finally nailed down a design and cleaned up the surfaces. It now sits in primer ready for some color...
